getaway

Earlier this week, we went up to Katoomba for a little getaway!! It was good fun! We went and enjoyed a hungi at Sian and John's house to celebrate Sian turning 22! We hung out with mum and dad, and John and I went iceskating in a little rink (more like an ice cube than a rink) set up for the school holidays! Libby loved her time away!

7 months...

Hi everyone!!

I'm so happy! I've managed to keep up my photo a day for 2009 for over a week now!! You can see my photos on MY Flickr account.

Liberty is now 7 months old and is more fun than ever!! She is growing so fast! I thought I would doccument some of her little milestones that she's up to at the moment...

• is crawling like a pro, and getting into everything!!
• can pull herself up to stand against objects now!
• sits without any assistance at all now, no longer need to surround her with pillows!
• can go from crawling to sitting and then back to crawling again with ease
• eats 3 solid meals and 5 breastfeeds a day
• loves drinking water from her sippy cup
• is now forward facing in her carseat
• no longer sleeping wrapped up like a sausage. She is now sleeping in a sleeping bag
• we've had to lower her cot seeing as she can now pull herself up on things
• loves playing in water wether it be the bath, rock pools or the ocean, no matter what the water temperature is, she loves it!!
• she grunts and fake coughs to get our attention
• she loves everyone
• she is sometimes clingy now, and if tired doesn't want to be left alone
• starting to give cuddles, well at least thats what i like to think!!

Last night...

Matty, Liberty and I drove out to Bass Hill to the Velodrome to watch the Clarence Street Cyclery Cup. I've been once before and I really enjoyed it, I know nothing about cycling but there was a great commentator last time and he made it very enjoyable, I was just hoping that he'd be there again last night and.... he was!!! I even got to say hi to him!!!
Liberty LOVED it!!! We arrived at about 7pm (bloody traffic) which is just on Liberty's bed time, but we walked into the velodrome and Liberty got so excited! She was squealing with delight and flapping her arms and legs for over an hour! While we were there I gave her some dinner (very late again as she was due for dinner whilst we were on the looooong drive) she ate half of a big mashed banana. Good Girl!
We had a great night going out as a little family! I didnt take my camera, but I did take a couple of photos on my camera moblie phone...

And I also took a little video of how excited Libby was. Enjoy..

Yesterday...

Libby turned 6 months old and tried spinach for the first time!!!
Here's a little video! I dont ususally get her face that grubby, but trying to film and feed was getting rather messy!! Its cute though!
So here she is eating a mix of Spinach, Carrot and Potato! (I started feeding her solids at 5 1/2 months old)
