Last night...

Matty, Liberty and I drove out to Bass Hill to the Velodrome to watch the Clarence Street Cyclery Cup. I've been once before and I really enjoyed it, I know nothing about cycling but there was a great commentator last time and he made it very enjoyable, I was just hoping that he'd be there again last night and.... he was!!! I even got to say hi to him!!!
Liberty LOVED it!!! We arrived at about 7pm (bloody traffic) which is just on Liberty's bed time, but we walked into the velodrome and Liberty got so excited! She was squealing with delight and flapping her arms and legs for over an hour! While we were there I gave her some dinner (very late again as she was due for dinner whilst we were on the looooong drive) she ate half of a big mashed banana. Good Girl!
We had a great night going out as a little family! I didnt take my camera, but I did take a couple of photos on my camera moblie phone...

And I also took a little video of how excited Libby was. Enjoy..

Yesterday...

Libby turned 6 months old and tried spinach for the first time!!!
Here's a little video! I dont ususally get her face that grubby, but trying to film and feed was getting rather messy!! Its cute though!
So here she is eating a mix of Spinach, Carrot and Potato! (I started feeding her solids at 5 1/2 months old)

today we...

Put up the christmas tree!! Yay!!
This is the earliest i've ever put it up! I was actually going to put it up next tuesday to celebrate Liberty's turning 6 months old birthday, but seeing as it was so cold and yucky today, Libby and I decided it was the perfect day to turn the tv off, put on some music and decorate the tree (and house)...

a mini book...

Thanks to Siany for inspiring me to make a mini book, as she just created one and uploaded it to her Flickr account. I decided to make one too! I have photos printed from our holiday to Perth last August and I was just going to put them in an album, but this was a way better idea.
So last night and today during Libby's naps I created this album...
Thanks also to Siany for saying that i can burrow her 'bind-it-all' so that i'll be able to actually bind this album together once we see eachother again!

Last week...

Hello Everyone!
Last week was a nice and busy one! On sunday night we went to Dee Why to hang out with friends. Matt and Jay went paddling in the ocean and Libby and I went to Marina's home. Libby and Arabella played together! Arabella is 5 months older than Liberty, so when they get a bit older, they will be able to be good friends I think!

On Monday we had our mothers group meeting! There ended up only being 3 of us meet up! That would have to be the smallest group so far! It was still good catching up with the mummies! Hopefully we will be a nice big group today!

On Tuesday Liberty and I went to Gymbaroo! Fun fun! We learnt a couple more fun things to do at home, and i've had the "hello everyone" Gymbaroo song stuck in my head ALL week!! hahaha! Today was Liberty's first taste of 'real' food, she's eaten rice cereal for 5 days but tuesday was the day to try pumpkin....

On Wednesday, Liberty and I met up with my mum in Penrith to do some shopping! Mum (and dad) bought Liberty her Xmas pressie, This high chair....
She's growing so so fast!! Crazy! We went for sushi in Penrith and I did a spot of Xmas shopping too! I bought Matt's nephews their chrissie pressies! Then we drove up to Katoomba for a couple of nights!

On Thursday Liberty and I hung out with my Mum and Siany. My dad and brother were working, so us girls went to lunch in the restaurant - yum!! We also went up to the farm to see the new goats and show Liberty all the animals (she loves animals) Here are some piccies....

On Friday Liberty and I left the mountains and came back to a hot and sticky day in Narrabeen! Matty missed us, and we missed him too! So we went for a walk and Liberty got to try out her little sun-safe swimsuit that mum bought her in Penrith... (Libby loves the water)
On saturday we went out to celebrate our friends 40th birthday in Manly. We got home late so Liberty went to bed late, and then was obviously over tired, and had a shocking sleep that night - poor thing!!

On Sunday, Matty went white water rafting, whilst Liberty and I went over to our friend Leigh and Laura's house for a BBQ. There were plenty of kids there and plenty of people wanting to have a cuddle of Liberty. She coped really well with all the attention and missing her afternoon nap!

So, its been a great week!!!

a week in the life... - day six

Saturday 1st November, 2008
*pinch and a punch for the first day of the month!!
Nice breeze, hot inside, refreshing outside

Okay, today as we didnt do that much, I will write a brief post!!
Liberty woke up at 6:30am and got fed at 6:50am, I got up and played with her. When she went down for her morning nap, I went back to sleep and we both slept 2 hours!
Matty then came home, so I took the chance to have a shower!! He was getting himself for the Hawksbury Classic 111km Kayak Race thats on tonight!
I played with Libby then she went and had another 1.5 hour sleep.
When she woke we played some more and I took her on a walk into town. Got home and played with her. She got grizzly and I put her to bed. She slept another 1.5 hours! Poor little thing was so tired today!! When she woke again I played, read and sung to her and we went and fed the ducks, and then I gave her a bath! I let her have a later night tonight and now she is fast asleep.
I watched Sex and the City the movie, I didnt think it was as good as I hoped.
Had dinner and now blogged!
Not the most adventurous day but still special cos I spent it with my little girl!!!
