Art Journal Challenge - Week Twenty Five...

It was a great surprise to see Tara Whitney had given the prompt for Emily's challenge this week!!

As soon as I saw the prompt I knew which photograph I was going to use!!

The Prompt for this week: "photo that means something to you...."

I used the photo of my family at christmas time!!! Nothing is more special than that!!!

Cowboys and Indians!!!

Last friday I took the night off work to go to Mikey's 30th birthday party!! The party theme: Cowboys and Indians!!
It was a great turn out!!

This is a photo of Matty and I! I went as a Cowboy and Matty went as an Indian!!! Everyone dressed up!!! It looked awesome and was so much fun having everyone in different costumes!!! The most original costume was definately Q who dressed as a COW!!!

And there were also the friends of Mikey's who dressed as Dallas Cowboys!!

It was an awesome night!!! Everyone had a fantastic time!! There was a great DJ there too that played some awesome tracks and we all danced along! We also surprised Mikey with a stripper (a cowgirl) which was funny!! Mikey was so embarassed! lol!

Scrap Shopping!!!

Dont you love it when you premit yourself to break the budget and go carzy scrap shopping??!!

I went to Penrith Superstore today as I knew there were some sales on! And whilst I was in Penrith I decided to visit Fred the Needle. That shop is awesome!! I think they have a few different things to all the other scrap shops about.. oh, and they stock Hambly products (which no one else seems to have much of!!)! I loved that little store! If you're into sewing you'll LOVE it! They have heaps of gorgeous fabrics too (im sure Siany will go crazy in there when she visits!!) !!!

Here's what i bought:

• 13 sheets of patterned paper and cardstock!
• toy story stickers
• thickers
• cardstock letter stickers
• 6 flowers
• rhinestones @ $2!!
• double sided tape
• 7 gypsies cards which you write on!! love them!
• large eyelets 20 for $2!! (hopefully to use for a mini book i will make in the future)
• turn mounts

And my favourite buy...I've seen so many people use these on their Emliy Art Journal Challenges and i've always wanted one (in fact, i think i'll buy another one next time i visit fred the needle) and i found one!! Yay!!

whats been happening...

Hello Everyone!!!
Just a quick email of whats been happening in Jessy Land the last couple of days...

Firstly, over the weekend with the awful gale force winds we've had.. our HUGE tree in the back yard of our block of flats fell down!! I couldn't believe it when i saw it.. It was really lucky as it didn't fall on anyone or any of the cars!! Here are some photos, but it doesn't look as big in the photographs!
Matt's parents are here visiting from New Zealand for about a week and a half and Sue gave me my belated b'day pressie...
She made all the clothes on it herself..and the doll is tiny.. lots of work involved!

We went to the cinemas to see Ocean's 13 this week!! it was great i like those movies, look like the actors had fun filming it too!! (i think!) We saw that in Gold Class, nice!!!

Then the following night my friend Bec gave us tickets to see Pricilla the musical tickets (for free!!) ThAnKs BEC!!!! That show was amazing!! i highly recommend it!!! The costumes were fantastic and the talent was of high standard!! excellent!

Tomorrow night is our friend Mikey's Birthday. Cowboys and Indians theme!! Will be fun!! Will let you know how it goes!!!

just a quick post...

Hi All!!

Just a quick post as its the long weekend here and lots of work!!! Plus my brother is in hospital - hopefully he is okay though!

Just wanted to share that on friday morning Siany and I went to a cafe in Leura to meet Lee Woodzide, Lusi Austin and Lee's friend Nick for morning tea!! It was the 1st time i've met Lee and only the 2nd time i've been out with Lusi! But it felt like we all aready knew eachother well!!
It was good fun!!! Lusi brought along her boys who are very cute and enegretic!! Definately provided us with entertainment!!!

I've been a little behind with my deck of me cards this last month, but i've now finally caught up!! I really dont want to miss any of the challenges as i think its going to look awesome to have 52 cards in my tin at the start of 2008!!!

Hello Everybody!!!

Yesterday was my 1st official day of nannying baby Jade! I've done it a few times before but never the full day alone!
It went real well!!
Jade is the cutest little baby!! And she gets this really cheeky smile when she's doing something cheeky! Its so cute!!
I really enjoyed the day!!

This was taken a couple of weeks ago at my place

I took this yesterday with my mobile phone camera, i couldn't help it, she looked so cute in her high chair!

After nannying, I met up with Bec for a climb, and we both climbed really hard and did really well! We were very proud of ourselves! Because of our hard effort (and it was dinner time - lol) all four of us (bec, kato, matty & i) went to dinner at 'the ranch'. I really enjoyed my dinner! I want to go back there again!
It was a fun night!!!

Today I plan to catch up of Emily's Art Journal Challenge & scrap for the Cyber Crop. But i've got lots of things to do before hand, which also gives me the change to visit some big warehouse that sells cheap Quicksilver clothing which a friend told me about!
